Proudly Presents the 2007 "Singer Search Contest"
The MCMA is pleased to announce the annual "Singer Search Contest" on June 3, 2007 at Smitty's Restaurant and Lounge, 1919 Henderson Hwy, Winnipeg, MB.
1:00pm to 5:00pm.
$3.00 cover charge for non-contestants.
Singers can log onto our website www.manitobacma.com and download the Entry Form and you can either pay on line or mail the entry fee of $25.00 to MCMA C/O Noel Martin, 41 Gatineau Bay, Winnipeg, Manitoba RTJ 1T7. We will be accepting internet payments up to May 28, 2007. Contest entry forms will be available at Smitty?s on Henderson that you can pickup during their normal business hours. Payment can be made at Smitty's as well.
The Contest
There will be 3 age groups 1. 12 and under
2. 13 to 17
3. 18 and over.
Judges will be assessing your overall vocal ability, stage presence and appearance. Each age group will have 1st, 2nd and 3 place winners and prizes will be awarded to each winner accordingly. From the 1st place winners of each category an overall winner will be chosen as our Grand Prize winner.
1. Grand Prize - Performance on the main stage of Dauphin Countryfest and weekend passes to the events.
2. 1st place winners - 3 hours of studio recording time.
3. 2nd Place winners - Vocal microphone
4. 3rd Place winners - Gig bags.
There maybe other prizes awarded as we have people supporting the MCMA. We will update the prize awards as they happen. This will be posted on the MCMA website.
