Doc Walker Trumps Big Names At Music Awards

Doc Walker scored two major wins at the WCMA Awards held Sunday, October 3rd in Calgary.
The band was crowned 2004 WCMA 'Entertainer of the Year' This was the only FAN voted award of the evening.
Sarah McLachlan, Nelly Furtado, Nickelback & Michael Buble were the other nominees. Doc Walker also won for 'Outstanding Country Recording' .
The Western Canadian Music Awards, were held in Calgary at the Jack Singer Concert Hall.

The Canadian Country Music Awards were held on September 13 at the Rexall Centre in Edmonton, AB. Doc Walker took home the award for GROUP OF THE YEAR.

These guys just don't sit still. Chris and the "boys" are heading down to Florida to be part of a "movie" co-produced by CBC and DISNEY. The movie stars Colin Mockery (Who's Line Is It Anyway). After the movie, they will visit Nashville for 5 weeks for some intense songwriting. The Band has a jam packed summer lined up starting with the opening party at Dauphin. It's back to Europe for FMB. Not one but two tours are coming up for the long time country music crooners. Watch for them this summer at the Lyric Theatre and at Lilac Park.
