Welcome to the new MCMA website. If you are not yet a member now is the perfect time to join..... membership is free, and we have added some great new features just for our members.
One new feature is a listing of all Manitoba country artists, new and old. This listing is for anyone involved in Country music in Manitoba whether you are a performer, songwriter, or musician. If you would like to be included on the list and don't yet see your name , please send a bio of no more than 1740 characters, along with an image that is 200x200 pixels.
Do you need to promote a cd release party or upcoming show. Our new featured events panel is the perfect place to let our visitors know what you have coming up. As a MCMA member you will have access to submit an event, and once approved the event will be added to the featured panel. Please contact us for image details.
To bring attention to Manitoba Artists we have added a new Featured Artist panel. Artist/band bios of active MCMA Members will be selected to appear on our home page in this Featured Artist panel. The Featured Artist panel is intended for performing and recording artists.
Do you have a video on YouTube that you would like us to feature in our Manitoba Artist Video panel? If so please email us the link and we will add your video to our rotation.
MCMA members can also have their image and web link added to our rotating membership banner. Your name will appear watermarked over the image and the image will link to your main website if applicable. All artists (performer, songwriter, or musician ) listed on the artist page who are active MCMA members will have an image (if supplied) in this rotating banner. If you would ilke to be included in the rotation please send a 330x220 pixel image with your name and website.

Potash Corp Country Music Week Saskatoon 2012
Country Music Week Saskatoon will be held September 6-9, 2012 with the Canadian Countty Music Awards being held on Sunday, September 9.
Manitoba singer/songwriters listed as finalists and semi-finalists in this year's prestigious International Songwriting Competition (ISC).
Jaylene Johnson's "When It All Goes South," co-written with Halifax-based sister act The Keats, is a finalist in the country category. Johnson was an ISC finalist last year, and also had a couple of co-writes in the semi-finals.
Desiree Dorion, Arun Chaturvedi, and Bart Dupas are listed as a semi-finalist in the country category for their song “Turn To Me”
Ray Martin and Chris Freeman are listed as a semi-finalist in the country category for their song "Days Like This"
This year's ISC attracted over 16,000 entries from over 100 countries, judged by top artists like Tom Waits, Tegan and Sara, Tori Amos, Janelle Monae, and Black Francis as well as David Massey (President, Mercury Records) and Ric Arboit (President, Nettwerk Music Group).
Fans can vote for their favourite songs until March 31 at songwritingcompetition.com. Winners will be announced in late April /early May.

Tickets are $10 each and are available at the PARK THEATRE or online through the Park Theatre's website. You can also call Tom at 451-6076. We will have tickets at our gigs also, so you can pick them up from us in person at our shows. There are only 200 TICKETS available so make sure to get them early!!
